metal and critics worldwide. KÄLTER, a quintet hailing from Quebec City, draw
from the influences of Scandinavian metal bands like Children Of Bodom, Kalmah,
Wintersun and Norther, incorporating melodic power riffs, folkloric elements,
strong use of keys, and the same style of harsh vocals as their peers. The 8
brilliant tracks on 'Spiritual Angel' depict Nordic mastery, whether powerful
orchestrations like Dimmu Borgir, or heavy use of keyboards, like the splendid
synthesizer solos worthy of Stratovarius. 'Spiritual Angel' is filled with
beautiful arrangements ranging from magical guitar solos, brilliant lead
keyboard work, progressive inventive drumming, and an epic performance from
UNEXPECT's front woman 'Leilindel' on "Time Out of Mind." ‘Spiritual
Angel’ is superbly packaged with a 12 page booklet, with lyrics, band photos,
and album cover artwork by Nicolas Francoeur (Nordheim - "Lost in the
North").

August 14 street date. MEMORAIN - the "super-group" formed in 1999 and founded by guitarist Ilias Papadakis are releasing their new album worldwide via Maple Metal Records. Forged in North America and Greece, with a Canadian connection - sink your teeth into "Evolution" - a THRASH METAL masterpiece consisting of 12 pounding and punishing pure metal tracks. The All-Star line-up that performed on "Evolution" features Ilias on guitar, Gene Hoglan (TESTAMENT, FEAR FACTORY, ex-DARK ANGEL, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD), Steve Digiorgio (SADUS, ex-DEATH, TESTAMENT), Ralph Santolla (OBITUARY, ex-DEICIDE, ICED EARTH, etc) and Chris Valagao (ZIMMERS HOLE, MECHANISM, WEST OF HELL). The new album also includes guest musicians such as, David Ellefson (MEGADETH), Tim "Ripper" Owens (HAIL!, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, BEYOND FEAR, ex-JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH), Jeff Waters (ANNIHILATOR), Christian Wentz (FUTURES END), Marc Pattison (Futures End), Laura Christine (DREAMING DEAD) and Carlos E. Perez (ex-C:REAL). David Ellefson recorded two songs, 'A New Era' and 'Rules Of Engagement', as well as co-wrote 'Rules Of Engagement' with Memorain guitarist Ilias Papadakis and Tim "Ripper" Owens. On top of that, Tim "Ripper" Owens recorded vocals on 'Rules Of Engagement' and Laura Christine also contributed a solo on the song 'Destiny Found'. Jeff Waters recorded the main guitar solo on 'A New Era', while Carlos E. Perez laid down a guitar solo for 'Methods Of The Past', and both Christian Wentz and Marc Pattison contributed guitar solos on 'Scratching The Surface'. Special Edition CD includes an impressive 20 page booklet, with song lyrics and band photos.

street date. Kemilon is a six-member metal band from Montreal that was formed
in 2008, and they storm out of the gate with excellent song writing and
dynamic instrumental performances on debut album, 'Twisted Storm.' The best
way to describe the music of Kemilon is to imagine the progressive elements
of Dream Theater, revving it up to the speed of European power metal bands
such as Helloween and Gamma Ray. Kemilon are Canada's answer to such acts
like Symphony X and Stratovarius. The debut album of Kemilon definitely
shreds, but also includes a few surprises, like a power ballad, dueling
keyboard & guitar battles, and catchy, fist-raising metal anthems. The
